It is said that little things make this life better. Happiness consists of details that often mean a world of difference to us. Everyone enjoys a nice gesture, attention, or a gift. Although we are usually able to extend kindness and attention daily, often times we simply forget to do so. Flowers are often given to women on different occasions: to display affection, send a message, on special occasions (birth day, mothers day, etc) or as a gesture of good faith. There are other reasons as well, such as: being gallant, flirting, or when you seek forgivness. If you decide to give flowers, it is also wise to know the personality and the horoscope sign of the receiver. It is believed that each person, based on their birth date, also has an affinity towards particular types of flowers. 

Aries: This is a fire sign, and when giving flowers to an Aries you should make sure that it signifies passion, challenge, or some kind of a “love vibe”. Favorite color of this sign is red, including “fiery” red and deep (wine) red. Also, Aries enjoy a bouquet of red flowers such as a combination of red roses, rosemary, and carnations.  

Taurus: Persons born in this sign belong to an earth element and enjoy receiving “expensive gifts” or flower arrangements that have a calming effect. If the flowers have an intoxicating scent, they will help you win a Taurus over. A perfect choice for this sign is a blend of intoxicating smaller flowers as well as a large bouquet of flowers in colors that complement each other. One great combination would include red roses and a green eucalyptus in a luxurious package. 

Gemini: The ruling element of this sign is air, and a person born under this sign is likely to be lively, optimistic, and up for a good time. For a Gemini, we recommend irises or passion flower lady margarets, preferably in white or another light color. Lilies or other types of wild flowers will have a calming and an energizing effect on a Gemini.  

Cancer: Persons born in this sign belong to an element of water and they expect a lot of attention from their loved ones. Sometimes, they do tend to seem a bit spoiled. However, do not forget that Cancers possess an unusually sensitive, romantic, and delicate nature. The perfect choice for this sign is lilac, and light-colored smaller roses. You can make a Cancer extremely happy as long as you provide them with a flower each day. In general, this sign corresponds well to water flowers, including the white water lily. 

Leo: Leos are a fire sign and love receiving well-intended luxurious gifts. Furthermore, due to their somewhat vain nature, Leos like to hold a special place in “their kingdom.” You can please them with a gift of bright orange flowers, including orange gardenias. Leos are also fond of cyclamen and enjoy gifts in a special packaging.  

Virgo: This sign belongs to an earth element, and people born in this sign expect sincere and serious intentions. In addition, Virgos appriciate safety, stability, and tend to enjoy flowers with lighter tones, including different color of blue and green. An ideal gift for this sign would be a bouquet of orchids and jasmines, especially in color white. If you happen to give them a bouquet of gardenias, you will see their eyes light up. 

Libra: Persons born in this sign belong to an earth element and have lively personalities. Libras tend to appriciate aesthetic beauty and can be a bit demanding. We recommend irises and/or a large bouquet of white, pink, or red roses.  Do not forget that Libras expect from you intoxicating and large bouquets in beautiful packaging. 

Scorpio: This sign belongs to a water element, and persons in this sign are particularly sensitive, sensual, and passionate. Personally, as a Scorpio, I prefer roses in all colors and other intoxicating flowers. I also enjoy beautiful and unusual packaging.  

Sagittarius: This sign belongs to a fire element and persons born in this sign possess a particularly hot-tempered nature. They are active, passionate, humorous, and postive. When giving them flowers, it is best to choose a bouquet of a bright-yellow-colored violets. They are also particulary fond of intoxicating flowers. Sagittarius are particularly fond of wild flowers in a variety of colors. 

Capricorn: People born in this sign belong to an element of earth and tend to have a particularly calm, disciplined, and poised personality. In order to soften their character (and their sometimes pessimistic tendencies) it is best to give them a gift of Christmas rose (black hellebore) or English ivy in combination with intoxicating narcissus. 

Aquarius: This is an air sign, and those who belong to this sign tend to have an eccentric taste. Aquarius enjoys a carefree life. They are also especially original and quite specific in their styling choices. Aquarius enjoys receiving bouquets of valley lilies, winter roses in different colors, or boquets of wild flowers in blue tones. Aquarius also reacts positively and sensuality to a bouquet of Narcisses.  

Pisces: This is a water sign and persons belonging to this sign possess a very romantic and sensitive nature. They also tend to be dreamers. The best choice for Pisces includes different types of fern and intoxicating flowers, such as jasmine. They are also fond of large bouquet of wild flowers with blue tones. In order to win their attention, you should give them cyclamen in a bright red or orange color. Generally, intoxicating flowers and bright colors have a beneficial effect on this sign.

Flower Arrangements

The most beautiful mornings starts with a fresh flower arrangement next to the coffee/tea pot. Often times, I enjoy visiting a flower shop during the weekend and soaking up the color and the smell of beautiful flowers. 

Flowers can be sensual, emotional, and they are simply perfect for expressing our emotions. Employees who work in the flower shop Nerina and Nerina2 make sure they pour a lot of love and good vibes into their creations. This is why their bouquets are beautiful, delicate, and sensual. 

Like most women, I love receiving flowers (and especially when I least expect them). I believe that flowers should be given on any occasion and there need not be a special reason! However, I also enjoy giving flowers. When giving a flower, which is unique and magical on its own, we also extend a part of ourselves. The smile I receive in return is priceless.

Fashion in Croatia

I love the smell of the Adriatic! Every time I am close to the beach, I can’t keep the smile off my face. It is not important what season it is, the beach fills me with positive energy and makes me come alive. Is there a better way to spend your holiday vacation than with a loved one sipping coffee on a beach in a local café? No, absolutely not! For this occasion, I kept my styling casual: low heel boots, skinny dark jeans, a dark blue t-shirt, and a jacket (I simply adore) made from faux leather. One of the main reasons I purchased this jacket was due to the golden details embroided in the material. I completed this fun outfit with two Swarovski golden butterflies and a pearl necklace. While still in Sarajevo, I had a manicure done in pastel orange to elevate my mood during these dark winter days. My sunglasses are from Aldo and I particularly adore them due to the print (animal). The bag on the photos has been in my possession for about 4-5 years now, and I purchased in Lisbon, Portugal. I am simply in love with it! More je tako magicno! Svaki put kad sam u njegovoj blizini, osmijeh ne silazi s mog lica...i nije bitno godisnje doba, jer ono i ljeti i zimi emituje samo dobre vibracije i pojacava pozitivne emocije u covjeku. Ima li  bolje provedenog dana na odmoru, nego u setnji i uzivanju u kafici u lokalnom kaficu sa dragom osobom? Nema! Za tu priliku moj stayling je bio opusten: cizme sa manjom punom petom, jer ipak sam na odmoru;) Skinny tamni jeans, udoban i uvijek lako prilagodljiv ostatku odjece odlucila sam upotpuniti teget majicom, te simpaticnom jaknom od dvije totalno nespojive tkanine: bukle & imitacija koze! Naravno razlog vise iz kog sam ju kupila jesu zlatne niti protkane kroz bukle tkaninu. Veselom outfitu pridonijeli su i dva pozlacena leptirica iz Swarovski radionice, te biserna ogrlica. Gel na noktima u pastel narandjastoj boji sam stavila jos u hladnom Sarajevu, kako bih prkosila sivilu zime. Naocale su Aldo i posebno mi se svidja njihov bocni izgled (animal print). Torbica je u mom posjedu vec nekih 4, 5 godina i kupljena je u dragom mi Lisabonu! Volim je! Fashionistas, ovaj look sluzi kao inspiracija za sretan dan! There are many ladies who also like to stay trendy while in the office.  However, it is often hard to choose appropriate attire as many shops usually carry casual and party wear. The problem arises when some ladies, while getting ready at 7 AM for the day in the office, pick out too casual or too party like clothing. Does this happen by accident or on purpose? Inappropriate clothing may cause problems for some women: collogues may whisper and the boss may be equally dissatisfied.  If you do not wish to make the mistake described above, we are bringing photos and instructions on what to wear to work. We also recommend that you pass on this post to your girlfriends and work colleagues! Let us get started!

The Suit Jacket is always a good idea! The suit jacket always carries a dose of professionalism and equally well with a skirt or a pant. If you are tired of trying to create “a perfect” work attire, our advice No 1 is the following: throw on a well fitted black pant, a black t-shirt, and any color suit jacket (just not black). It will brighten up your outfit instantly and it will stand out beautifuly against the black pants and a shirt.

The Skirt can ensure you look elegant as long as it is fitted well and is not too short. The shortest acceptable skirt length for the office environment is four fingers (width) above your knee. The slit in the skirt should not be above 8 cm, and you should avoid skirts that have a slit in the front. In case you don’t want to appear too serious, leave out the suit jacket when wearing a skirt. You may also wear fun button-down shirts that tie in the front and/or are multicolored. Club Fashionista Sarajevo advice No 2 is: you may use the “party skirt” (presuming it is the right length) you bough with glitter and bright colors for work as long as you combine it with a more serious button down shirt/sweater. You may also add heals (up to 5 cm) so that your legs appear longer and your posture looks  better.   

The white blouse/shirt can be worn always and everywhere! With the right button down white shirt/blouse, even jeans may appear incredibly appropriate for a casual work environment. The white shirt/blouse is a staple piece that every woman should own. It is important to make sure that it is always clean and ironed appropriately. Fashionistas, our advice No 3 is: white shirt/blouse, your favorite work pants (or jeans for a more casual environment), a bright suit jacket and shoes, statement jewelry, purse, and a glamorous ring, little foundation, some mascara, and a deep red lipstick! Koliko kratku suknju moze trpiti office?

Nisu rjetke one dame koje i na radnom mjestu zele biti u trendu i u modernim odjevnim komadima. Ponedak je moguce pogrijesiti, premda su prodavnice odjece i obuce pretpane raznovrsnim krpicama, te ponajvise ima one vrste odjece prilagodjene za lude nocne izlaske ili pak opustene dnevne setnje s drustvom. Zbog toga cesto i kupimo takvu odjecu, s ciljem da ju odjenemo na pripadajuce mjesto i za odgovarajucu situaciju. Medjutim, problem nastaje kod onih dama koje u 7 ujutro spremajuci se za jos jedan dan u kancelariji, posegnu za takvim komadom! Slucajno ili namjerno?! Mozda iz neznanja? Eh, ne bude njima lako u tim uskim, kratkim, sljokicastim stvarima na poslu! Podsmjehuju im se radne kolege, a sefica moze biti ljuta ( nije to ipak po dress codu kompanije) ili pak ljubomorna (ako je gore pomenuta jako zgodna u tom "nocni izlazak" izdanju). Ovo drugo je ipak losija opcija! Da se to ne bi desilo vama, donosimo fotografije, te kratke upute koje duzine suknje moze trpiti kancelarija, koliko providna moze biti vasa kosulja, te jesu li moderne sljokice i cirkoni moguci i na radnom mjestu! Svakako topla preporuka da ovaj post proslijedite i vasim prijateljicama & radnim kolegicama! Idemo sad na posao! Modni, ne onaj vas, pravi;)

*Sako: to je uvijek pun pogodak! On po svojoj formi nosi dovoljnu dozu ozbiljnosti i profinjenosti, tako da uz najobicnije hlace/jeans moze proci pod "outfit za office". Ukoliko ste umorni od kombiniranja odjece za posao, nas brzinski prijedlog broj 1 je: crne uske hlace, crna body maica & sako. On moze biti jednobojni (samo ne crni), prugasti, svileni, peplum kroja, na dugmice, na rajfesluz, bez kopcanja, kraci, duzi, s tackicama, sa cvjetovima.....to ostavljamo vama na volju (ili vama na ruku, koji vam prvi dodje pod ruku u rano radno jutro).

*Suknja: elegantan izgled zagarantovan je ovim odjevnim komadom, naravno, ukoliko je pristojne duzine i ne preuska! Duzina koja seze 4 sirine prsta iznad koljena je najkraca duzina koja vazi za eleganciju i pristojnost na radnom mjestu. Prorezi ne bi smjeli biti veci od 8 cm, te treba izbjegavati suknje s prorezima na prednjoj strani suknje. Ukoliko ne zelite izgledati preozbiljno, uz suknju ne morate nositi sako, u obzir dolaze vesele kosulje koje se vezu u masnu na vratu, klasicne kosulje na kopcanje, interesantne majice. CFS brzinski prijedlog broj 2: suknja koju ste kupili za nocni izlazak,jarke boje, sa sljokicastim detaljima ili pak visebojna za poslovni outfit moze posluziti samo ako ju kombinujete uz jednostavnu, jednobojnu majicu/dzemper/kosulju. Cipele sa visom petom su pozeljne uz suknju, kako bi vase noge izgledale vitkije, a drzanje uspravno.

*Bijela kosulja: uvijek i svugdje! Uz bijelu kosulju i plave klasicne farmerice mogu biti hit kombinacija za dan na poslu. To je nezamjenjiv komad odjece koju svaka djevojka/zena treba imati u svom ormaru. Bitno je da je cista i ispeglana, a uz sta cete je kombinovati je manje bitno, jer bijela kosulje ide uz sve.

Winter Break in Makarska, Croatia

I dok se neki jos uvijek oporavljaju od ludila zvanog novogodisnja noc i pokusavaju nadomjestiti sve one sate koje nisu spavali, ja sam se odlucila prve dane nove nam 2013. godine u setnji i upijanju suncevih zraka. Moj zimski godisnji odmor provodim u Makarskoj, lijepom primorskom gradicu na jugu Hrvatske, inace nekih 4 sata udaljenog voznjom od Sarajeva. Premda je ugodnih 14 stepeni u zraku, odlucila sam se za poprilicno proljetni outfit. Uz omiljene jeans tajice odlucila sam se na dzemper sa prugicama u teget i zutoj boji, te sako (novi, kupljen u prednovogodisnjem pohodu na Spliske butike) u tamno zutoj boji. Nekako priziva sunce i naprosto cini da osmijeh s vaseg lica ne silazi......satima....Volim te proljetne boje! Posebice jer uz more, topao zrak, mnostvo palmi i sunceve zrake podsjeca na ljetne radosti te izaziva srecu u srcu i svakako skuplja pozitivnu energiju, a iste ce mi trebati jos dosta, jer kad se vratim u Sarajevo, pored poslovnih obaveza cekaju je jos minimalno 2 mjeseca snijega, kise i niskih temperatura. Stoga, uzivajte i vi, dragi fashionisti u zutoj boji, suncevim zrakama i sretnim momentima!  Fotografisite djelic te atmosfere, kako bi mogli poglednuti tu slikicu u onim sivim i kisnim zimskim danima! Do iduceg posta, uzivajte u prvim danima Januara!

While many are still recovering from all the holiday celebrations, I decided to enjoy first days of 2013 walking the beaches of Croatia. I spent my winter break in Makarska, a beautiful town on the Adriatic Sea in south of Croatia, located just about four hours driving from Sarajevo Bosnia. Despite the warm weather (14 C), I decided to sport a “summer-ish” outfit. Along with my favorite jeans, I wore a striped sweater in a blue-beige color and a suit jacket (new, bought right before the New Years Eve in a boutique in Spilt, Croatia) in a dark yellow.  I felt like the jacket just exerted warmth and keept the smile on my face all day long. I adore those spring colors! They are especially well suited for the beach, warm weather, and the sunshine. Bright colors also bring back happy summer memories and positive vibes (I will hold on to this new outlook as long as possible when back in the office in cold- snow-clad Sarajevo).
