Saturday is a day reserved for shopping! As soon as I wake
up, I make a quick breakfast, drink a Nescafe or an herbal tea, and around noon
I leave to visit different stores. While walking around shopping centers in
Sarajevo, I noticed a new store amongst the already familiar ones.
Fashionistas, this shop is simply amazing! It almost “invites” people
inside. The entire glass window is
magical. There are so many colors and shapes neatly folded into transparent
small boxes.
I entered the store with the assumption that I would find only
small necessities required for sowing (buttons, pins, and thread). However,
inside was just like a little slice of heaven: they sold varieties of material
for jewelry making. Yes, of course you may find needles and buttons there as
well. But, the prominent item is pearls. Millions of different pearls! Even though I never made any jewelry
(and not that it didn’t cross my mind), I decided to purchase glittery pearls. Nevertheless, I still had tough decisions
to make: which colors would I pick? I decided on 6 different shades and
purchased some other material.
This type of store was much needed addition to our city. Our
creative minds are thirsty for different ways in which to exercise their ideas!
BRAVO for the owners! I left the store wanting other crystal pearls I saw. Now, I cannot wait to return!
I suggest that if you ever happen to find yourself close to
this or similar type of store, purchase the pearls that catch your eye right
away. Creative ideas will come your way. Of course, you may use some of the tutorials
for a necklace that are already available on the Internet as well.
My shopping day had to come to an end, and upon my return
home I started making my dream necklace right away. You may check out the final
product below. =) I promise that next time it will be even more beautiful. =)
Until next DIY necklace, keep creative Fashionistas!
